This American glassblowers work is known for its simple, well-proportioned shapes and flawless surfaces. While the artist has worked with a multitude of colors, it is the vibrant red that best demonstrates his artistic and technical control. Red requires a number of variables to be met to maintain consistency of color. These variables, including temperature and humidity, are sometimes difficult to properly measure, let alone control, giving the artist the challenge he enjoys. With the assistance of his wife, the artist makes and signs each piece of glass at their studio in the Pacific Northwest.
