| Wish Keeper In 1992 A Raku ceramic vessel that contains an inner chamber, called the Wish Keeper was born. The artist saw the original concept, an image of the vessel in a dream. Using clay and the the Raku style of firing he created his vision. He cuts a symbol for "Good Fortune" carved into wood and pressing into the wet clay, creating a seal thereby sealing the vessel with "Best Wishes" Having completed the vessel, he then fully understood the meaning of this creation. It is a place to hold your written wish. There is a chamber which holds the wish, with anticipation of fulfillment. 3 pieces handle which holds the wish chamber on string, vase vessel and base. This form is both contemporary and timeless. Approx. 13"high x 9" x 9" |
